A new film by award-winning actress and producer Natasha Lyonne is set to debut soon. “Cabiria, Charity, Chastity” is set around Chastity (played by Maya Rudolph) as a modern day Giulietta Masina and Shirley MacLaine on the all too familiar quest for self-love. Notable feature about the film is that it was produced by KENZO and prominently features their FW17 collection, with the garments actually playing key roles. Pieces were all deconstructed to question the semiotics of fashion as a political vehicle, and the place of women’s bodies in contemporary culture. “Cabiria, Charity, Chastity” marks the 5th film by the French fashion house, which is currently headed by Carol Lim & Humberto Leon.
