22 Dec Phoebe Philo Will Officially Leave Céline Following The FW18 Collection.
Following a 10 year tenure are Céline, Phoebe Philo will leave the iconic fashion house after the FW18 collection. During her stint at the Parisian house, Philo was praised for reinvigorating the house with her minimal design codes. On her exit, she noted to WWD: “I am grateful to have worked with an incredibly talented and committed team and I would like to thank everyone along the way who has been part of the collaborations and conversations… it’s been amazing.”
Of course, industry heavyweights had their share of an opinion on Philo’s big move. Among them, LVMH chairman and chief executive officer Bernard Arnault who stated: “We are very grateful to Phoebe for having contributed to the great momentum of this maison. A new era of development for Céline will now start and I am extremely confident in the future success of this iconic maison.”
Although there are rumours that Philo might take Christopher Bailey’s place at Burberry, these we refuted earlier today.
