Carolina Herrera will show her SS18 collection, which is slated for September 11th at 8pm at the MoMa in New York, making her the first fashion designer to host a formal runway show at the museum, ever. To be specific, the show will take place at the museum’s Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden. The goal of this partnership is to underscore the brand’s relationship and commitment to the city where the company is based and continues to grow. NYC has ofte been a reference and inspiration in Herrera’s collections and in the past she has shown collections in other city landmarks that include The Plaza, The Pierre, Bryant Park, Lincoln Center, the Frick and most recently in the Meatpacking district for her fall collection. Keep an eye on the brand’s Instagram as the show will be revealed through a series of teaser videos which take us on a journey through New York City and highlighting previous runway locations before arriving at MoMA.
