Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri has tapped Hollywood starlet Jennifer Lawrence to star in the house’s FW18 campaign. The powerful images were shot by Brigitte Lacombe and serve as an ode to Claude Cahun and his surrealist self portraits; rugs hanging from the wall, a sombre stare and all.
For those that need a bit of a history lesson: French photographer and writer adopted the gender-ambiguous name Claude Cahun in 1917 and often portrayed a wide array of personas in her art.
