In their latest pursuit of educating their global following on subcultures and icons of old, Supreme are collaborating with Nan Goldin for a collection of apparel and accessories. Goldin is probably best known for her 1986 classic The Ballad Of Sexual Dependency which logged New York’s defiant LGBTQ community following the liberating success of the Stonewall riots.
What makes Goldin’s work powerful and influential after over three decades is their portrayal of ecstasy and pain, drug use and domestic violence, sex and the destruction wrought by AIDS.
The collaboration is set to comprise of three skateboards, three t-shits, a hoodie and coach jacket emblazoned with three iconic Goldin works, including Misty and Jimmy Paulette in a taxi, Kim in Rhinestones and Nan as a dominatrix.
The pieces are set to drop in store and online on March 29th.
