Following the announcement last week that he would be taking the reins at Dior Homme, Kim Jones is wasting no time appointing new staff members. It was announced yesterday that Jones has selecting Yoon Ahn of AMBUSH as the new jewellery designer for the brand. To those that have kept a close eye on Jones during his tenure at Louis Vuitton, this appointment might not come as a surprise, as the two have collaborated on a special MP3 before and the designer also named Yoon as one of his “10 People To Meet” in 10 Magazine.
Yoon Ahn, along with life partner Verbal own and operate jewellery label AMBUSH, which has garnered quite the celebrity following. The duo are on a first-name basis with the like of Pharrell, Kanye West and A$AP Rocky and in addition to Louis Vuitton have collaborated with Undercover and Sacai in the past. Yoon was also a finalist in last year’s LVMH prize.
