Alexander Wang and photographer Albert Watson have just dropped a truly original campaign, aimed at capturing the lived-in essence of clothes. Shot entirely in black and white, the campaign features only clothes and quotes of the models who wore them. When we say they feature only the clothes, that does not take into account clips, barbed wire and such holding the pieces in place, giving them their lived in look.
On the idea behind the campaign, Wang noted: “To photograph the clothing or item as a study after the subject wore it felt especially timely, removing her from the photograph but retaining her vibrant spirit.”
