An exhibition starring Hollywood’s most fashionable mouse will be coming to London for Fashion Week this September. Celebrating famous fashion muse Minnie Mouse, Minnie: Style Icon will explore the character that has been influcing fashion and pop culture for almost a century. The display will comprise of a variety of photographs from the 1930s up to present day, including archive imagery, celebrity portraits and fashion spreads. Georgia May Jagger will also showcase never-before-seen images that she has photographed herself. “As a Minnie fan, I was really interested in helping to curate the Minnie: Style Icon exhibition for London Fashion Week,” said Jagger. “I’m also really excited to be including my own photographic work in the exhibition, interpreting Minnie’s style in a different way and showing how the classic often inspires the contemporary.” “We are thrilled to be supporting this beautifully curated exhibition dedicated to Minnie Mouse,” commented Caroline Rush, CEO at the British Fashion Council. “The exhibition strives to show how pop culture can inspire fashion and why the London fashion scene is so good at providing a new and creative take on things. Fashion can be very serious, but it should also be fun, which is why this sits so well as part of our official schedule.” The exhibition will run from 18 – 20 September at renowned Dean Street members club Blacks, and will be open to the public for the last two days.
