Tomorrow will see the opening of Louis Vuitton’s brand new store in the Place Vendôme Maison. Described by many as the Versailles of fashion, the new retail location will be filled with all the beautiful things that bear the brand’s famed monogram. The Place Vendôme Maison location, once one of Napoleon’s many pads, is set to bring together all the brand has to offer, which includes couture, RTW, leathers, fragrances, footwear and so forth. On the location’s design, Peter Marino (the mastermind behind it all) stated: “The balance between what is modern and what is old, is for me, what Paris is all about. The staircase is a particularly good example of this – an 18th century design in stone contrasted by high-tech glass balustrades suspended by stainless steel cables.” So, if you happen to be in Paris anytime soon, make sure to queue up and have a glance at this fashion Mecca.
