Perhaps an answer to Nicola Formichetti leaving the brand last year, it was announced yesterday that Diesel will work with three designers on one-off collections for their Red Tag Project. One of these designers was revealed to be Shayne Oliver whom we know well from his Hood By Air label and more recently from a brief stint at Helmut Lang.
On the project, Oliver told WWD: “This capsule is really the language of Renzo, the brand founder. Refined razor-sharp denim aesthetics that devours the excesses of trendiness.” The only detail surrounding the collection so far is that it centers around reimagining denim, which is perhaps what Diesel is best known for.
The collection is set to debut on March 3rd during PFW.
