Lucie and Luke Meier, Jil Sander’s designing team, have celebrated the birth of their baby girl – born in June – with this new collection. This collection shows the timeless trademark of Jil Sander, sending plenty of neutral, tailored or slinky silk pieces with a joyful playfulness.
“Looking forward, seeing clearly, feeling comfortable and carefully use the power and sensitivity that we have in us. Far from perfect, we can always look forward. We are plural, nocturnal and luminous. We shouldn’t take ourselves too seriously thought. We’re in motion”, the Meiers stated.
The silhouettes change from look to look. varying in fabrics, treatments and details. From hand-painted tiger stripes to subtle pallets and structures from soft to rich in design. Colors of mostly pastel tones of green, peach, cream and white. Accompanies by dark accents evolving from a dark palette. The fabrics are a range from natural Italian to Japanese fabrics of velvet moiré, silk, viscose and double-faced cotton.
New is the Cannolo Bag, shaped cylindrically as to update and refine the baguette bag trend.
