London-based Live Archives gallery has rounded-up some of the biggest names in contemporary fashion for an exhibition about the Celtic roots of glamour. The Circle exhibit will bring together garments from the archives of legendary names like Alexander McQueen, Ann Demeulemeester, Dior Homme, Lanvin, Maison Martin Margiela, Rick Owens, Vivienne Westwood and more. The pieces have been selected around the show theme of glamour’s origins, based on the writings of Elizabeth Wilson. The event description reads: “Revisiting the occult associations of glamour’s ancient Celtic roots, The Circle proposes an alternative to the contemporary equation of glamour and celebrity, rejecting the “shameless self-exposure” of tabloid-driven infamy, garish sequins and bared flesh.” The Circle will run from November 27 till December 5, 2015 at Live Archives, London.
