Things are going well for that most Parisian of Parisiennes. Ines de la Fressange has opened a boutique on the Left Bank, a lifestyle and vintage haven in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés. We’ve been waiting for a while, but Ines de la Fressange’s secret is finally out. Her Left Bank atelier-boutique fulfills its promise, starting with an oh-so chic address in Saint-Germain-des-Prés. A former foundry at 24 rue de Grenelle, has been transformed into a light-filled lifestyle hub, thanks to a glass ceiling and voluminous spaces. The store reads like an A to Z of Paris life, packed with objects, scarves, sunglasses, cushions and jewelry all stamped with Ines’ blue logo, alongside olive oil from Provence, André Jardin brooms and beautiful vases by Tinja. But its real uniqueness lies in the clothes, with that timeless Parisian DNA that defies the seasons. Numbered one-off pieces are created in the open atelier at the back of the store using vintage fabrics with fabulous prints, in limited editions and bigger runs, alongside eveningwear and cheeky lingerie from Fifi Chachnil. It’s the kind of a sublime, joyous and elegant space that could only be in Paris, created only by Ines de la Fressange. 24 rue de Grenelle 75007 Paris. Tel: 01 45 48 19 06.
