Yesterday, Jonathan Anderson and Loewe presented the Spanish house’s FW18 collection in the UNESCO building Paris and suffice it to say that there’s reason for excitement later on in the ear. What was shown on the runway can best be described as a truly versatile collection that covers virtually every need of the modern woman. Heading out for a walk in the country? Check. Private viewing at a gallery and dinner after? Check. Picking up the kids from school in style? Check!
Most notable throughout were the coats, which were featured in almost a third of all the looks. They ranged from duffles to shearlings and chevon patterned pieces. Other pieces that we were particularly excited about (mainly due to their uniqueness) were the suspended dresses. Now, we admit that these aren’t for everyone and their wearability leaves room for debate, but we like the almost indigenous feel to them.
