Looking at vintage fashion knitwear in the 20th century, Knitwear: Chanel to Westwood at the Fashion and Textile Museum will include items such as 1920s Chanel jersey, 1930s woollen swimwear, 1970s Bill Gibb and conceptual garments from Comme des Garcons, Vivienne Westwood and Julien MacDonald. Through these pieces, the exhibition will chart the influence of art movement Pop, Punk and Deconstruction alongside new knitwear technologies and design modernisation. Book your tickets here
