Recently, Alexander Wang announced that the AW18 show would be his last in the NYFW roster and last night, he presented this collection at the old Vogue office in Times Square. If you’re a true lover of fashion, you” know that this is where Wang interned back in the day, before founding his namesake label. He kept the office vibe alive with visitors sitting in (or on) makeshift cubicles.
Perhaps best known for championing the “of duty model”/ “partygirl” look, Wang seems to have graduated to focusing on people with actual day jobs. The collection, although seemingly influenced by The Matrix, featured blazers, leather suits, high-waisted trousers and 80s power-shouldered sweaters.
