Set to premiere at the Venice Film Festival will be the 14th instalment of Miu Miu’s “Women’s Tales” series. As you may know, the series brings together female directors and artists with the task of interpreting Miu Miu’s latest collection through a short movie. The latest instalment features the creative vision of dancer/ filmmaker Celia Rowlson-Hall.
The teaser for the latest film, entitled (The [End) of History Illusion] can be viewed here exclusively and feels kind of like a vintage tv commercial. It opens with the line: “we understand this political climate has turned your world upside down” and follows with a women, dressed in the AW17 collection, giving us a tour of a “luxury underground home”.
On the inspiration for the film, Rowlson-Hall said: “I wanted to explore commercialism in the face of fear, creating a spectacle to distract and entertain, an escape from our present day reality.”
