Glamour, sex, gold detail, tartan and of course leather: that very much sums up Versace’s FW18 show. Much like imagining a well-traveled peacock, it was all we expected and more. What made the collection itself amazing was the perfect balance between all the aforementioned elements, blending them together to become colourful elegance.
Along with the heavy retro-feel to the collection (much like Marc Jacobs’ presentation last week) it should also be noted that this season, the Italian fashion house decided to borrow influences from abroad: take for example the tartan football scarves that were paired with brightly coloured dresses and skirts.
